Bremerton Rescue Mission Newslett

Bremerton Rescue Mission Newsletter
Moving Forward February 2011
Dear Dr.Henry,
With the rush of the holiday season behind us, we are moving forward with two projects. One has been the driving force behind what we are doing, a shower unit. See the story below for more information. The second is a new project but very much in line with our mission - A women-with-children temporary shelter. We are committed to seeing men and women develop and become self-supporting (not on government assistance). God's desire is to see his people working together to solve these problems. By placing our faith in Him to provide the strength and resources, we can accomplish the task. Stay tuned next month for more on the Women and Children's Shelter.

February is a time to reflect on the gift of Love that our creator has given us. Let's work together to demonstrate our love by our actions. Join BRM as we move forward together.
Mobile Shower Unit
From the beginning of our ministry, this unit has been on the forefront of our planning. The problem is that we could never raise the needed funds to purchase it. We want to do this now and we need your help. This unit, made by Wells Fargo, contains two complete bathrooms with showers. The unit is totally self-contained and could be delivered to us for about $28,000. Now that seems like a large sum but can you imagine how much hope it would be for our homeless to be able to get a shower and clean clothes.

The Truck has been repaired! Hooray!! Thanks to all of you who invested in financing the repairs and thanks to all of you who helped us get through this period without the Truck. We would like to give a Big Thank You to Peninsula Fleet Services for their labor of love. They repaired the rear end and installed the new generator for a total cost of $3,000 and waved the cost of installing the new rear end. Please thank them for their service to the needy in our community.

John and Randy are moving into a house. See the side bar for more information. Thanks to the benevolence of George Richy, they will finally have a home for a little while.
